1- Construction of cement water reservoirs (tanks) in the villages of Krinka and Nablat, Elkhoai Locality.
2- Execution of water stations at Um Siala, Bara Locality, North Kordofan and Abo Gibaish Locality, West Kordofan.
3- Digging of Water Hafeer (water well) in Alkabara Village West of Bara Locality.
4- Construction of school latrines in Soudary Locality, North Kordofan
MAARIF has excelled in the implementation of the community-based management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) for the last 3 years.
Up to today MAARIF targeted and reached children under five and pregnant and lactating women in North and West Kordofan who suffer from Acute Malnutrition through very dedicated team and in collaboration with the State Ministries of health.
The population affected has been approached by an integrated package that provides a service of Targeted Supplementary feeding program, and approach of social behavior change and communication, and prevention programs such as home fortification, cooking demonstration, food-based prevention of Moderate Acute Malnutrition. MAARIF has been managing over 70 centers.
More than 25,000 children and lactating mothers are benefiting from this program. This program runs yearly based on fields level agreements.
MAARIFâs approach for the nutrition intervention is social mobilization; MAARIF adopted a participatory, self-help, self-sustainable approach through community involvement and formation of volunteering groups in remote rural areas of Kordofan.
